Access Free Windows Live Hotmail in Windows Mail Using POP

Push to the steps add a free Windows Live Hotmail account to Windows Mail for sending and receiving messages:

• Select Tools | Accounts... from the menu in Windows Mail.
• Click Add....
• You sure E-mail Account is highlighted.
• Click Next.
• Enter your full name under Display Name:.
• Click Next.
• Then type your Windows Live Hotmail address under E-mail address:.
• Click Next.
• You sure POP3 is selected under Incoming e-mail server type:.
• Type "pop3.live.com" under Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:.
• Enter "smtp.live.com" under Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name:.
• You sure Outgoing server requires authentication is checked.
• Click Next.
• Then type your full Windows Live Hotmail email address (e.g. "me@hotmail.com" or "me@live.com") under E-mail username:.
• Enter your Windows Live Hotmail password under Password:.
• Click Next.
• You sure Do not download my e-mail at this time is checked.
• Click Finish.
• Highlight the pop3.live.com account.
• Click Properties.
• Go to the Advanced tab.
• You sure This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked under both Outgoing mail (SMTP): and Incoming mail (POP3):.
• Type "587" under Outgoing server (SMTP):.
• Then, if the number under Incoming server (POP3): is not "995", enter "995" there.
• Click OK.
• Click Close.
